Amare Stoudemire – New York Clutch   by Knicks Lakers

Amare Stoudemire Carsares is an American professional basketball forward power for the New York Knicks. Taken in the first round with the ninth overall pick in the NBA Draft 2002, spent the first eight years of his career with the Phoenix Suns. He is on the list of 6 feet 10 inches (208 cm) and 249 pounds (113 kg). Stoudemire won the Rookie of the Year in 2003, made five appearances in the All-Star Game, made the first team All-NBA Team in 2007 and won a bronze medal with Team USA Men’s National Basketball in 2004 Games Olympics. Stoudemire’s name had been earlier in the guide as the Phoenix Suns and Amare Amare, Amare, but was changed in October 2008. NBA.com Stoudemire said his name was always written Amar’e, but the media had been incorrect spelling since joining the NBA News.

With new coach Terry Porter, Suns game became more of an emphasis on defense and a more controlled offense. The slowdown in the Suns’ offense hit Stoudemire, whose scoring average is down about 4 points from the previous season, while still leading the team in points and rebounds. The Suns also had problems with the system of Terry Porter, and only 28 to 23 and had lost their last five games before the game 2009 NBA All-Star. Stoudemire led the Western Conference to win in the 2009 NBA All-Star Game.

On 19 February, in a game against the Clippers in Los Angeles, Stoudemire suffered a detached retina, although he may have hurt before and had been bothered by the same eye, even before this game. He had injured the same eye in the preseason, but this injury involved a partial tear of the iris, without damage to the retina. He said then that he would have to wear goggles for the rest of his career, but stopped wearing them after seven games. Stoudemire underwent eye surgery to repair the retina. The recovery took eight weeks, which forced him to miss the rest of the regular season. Announced that he would wear protective goggles when he returned to play the following season.

Feng Shui in the Garden   by Gwen Nyhus Stewart

“The Ancient Art of Placement” called Feng Shui (pronounced phung schway) literally means ‘wind’ and ‘water.’ The Chinese believe this cosmic energy, called Chi or ‘the green dragon’s cosmic breath,’ is the life force energy that pervades human existence. The basic tenet of Feng Shui is to capture this vital energy creating balance and harmony in our environments. Feng Shui is predicated on the core belief that we, the earth, and every living thing on it are interconnected.

Feng Shui is the oldest form of gardening dating back several millennia to China. It is based on the philosophy that man and nature must live in harmony with one another and that all life is infused with the invisible energy called Chi. This force circulates throughout our environment and is essential to our well-being, health, and happiness. The Chinese sages believed that any man-made feature could affect the flow of Chi so established the rules of placement that are central to this philosophy.

In the Feng Shui garden, balance and harmony are the key factors. Balance and harmony are achieved by careful attention to detail and the balance of Yin and Yang energy. Yin energy includes the earth, rocks, ponds, plants, flowers, and trees. Yang energy includes the home, brick, wood, nails, and other solid construction. The fundamental characteristics of Feng Shui gardening are:

· Curved lines rather than straight allow natural energy to flow more easily.

· Feng Shui gardens are never crowded.

· Feng Shui gardens are designed to look as natural as possible.

· Mixing shapes and sizes is a vital element in Feng Shui gardens.

The Chi, or cosmic energy, needs to flow freely and smoothly through its surroundings in order to create harmony and balance in the garden. Yin and Yang together constitute the two forms of energy central to the concept of Feng Shui principles and define the quality of the energies in any space.

Yin energy constitutes the feminine energy and its elements are shadows, darkness, winter, night-time, wet, soft, receptive, passive, negative, inner, north, creation, earth, and is symbolized by the moon. Yang energy constitutes the masculine energy and its elements are light, openness, vigour, growth, summer, daytime, spirit, dry, hard, active, positive, sky, heaven, south, outer, energetic, and is symbolized by the sun. Yin and Yang energies are complementary to each other.

The Feng Shui of your house influences your life from a personal point of view. The Feng Shui of your garden influences the outer aspect of your house and influences the more public view of your life. The front garden is more Yang while the back garden is more Yin and the private side of your life. The best way to examine the Feng Shui of your garden is to treat your entire property as a single unit.

Plants that exhibit Yang energy include large-leafed plants that create a powerful presence and create good Feng Shui when placed beside water features such as a pond or fountain. These plants contrast nicely with feathery foliage plants such as ferns. Plants that exhibit Yin energy include ferns that help to dissolve any negative energy in the garden. Hanging plants will lift energy or allow energy to flow. It is a good idea to hang baskets around areas where you like to socialize. Window boxes encourage beneficial Chi toward the home.

Sun Toyota Tampa

Florida: does it need to be there? by Dylan

Upon mention of Florida, an outsider will immediately envision gleaming, voluptuous youthful bodies, strewn across a white sand beach, or rollerbladers, gliding effortlessly along beachfront catwalks. Don’t be fooled, the place is filled with types that involve themselves in every kind of questionable pastime. It is after all America, the land of the free, or the land of the nutcracker whom will craft a career from any bizarre niche vocation, even if it involves throwing on a full suit of medieval armour, and swinging a mace at someone on a horse.

Not to worry though, there are plenty pursuits worthy of any individual who is bored enough to leave their hometown to come in search of so called greener pastures well, the pastures are quite green, but don’t let that hinder my deconstructive oratory. So do not despair, I have thrown together a list of things you’ve told yourself you might enjoy, if you just got out once in a blue moon.

If ever in Central Florida, a must is to visit the west coast park, Busch Gardens/Tampa Bay. They’ve mentioned a combination of exhilarating rides and zoological habitats. Gatorland cannot be left out, as it is the Gator capital” of the world. There is Green Meadows farm for anyone who necessitates milking cows on the standard family outing. Don’t miss the Kennedy space center if you have fantasies about space travel and aliens and generally fit into the science fiction nerd class of society. I thought it was conjured fiction from the writers of the cable guy”, but there actually is a ‘medieval times – dinner and tournament’, where people watch jousting matches between insane macho men with an inclination for agony. The Ripley’s believe it or not museum is another attraction”, although many will be seen fleeing in the other direction once they’ve witnessed the horrors within. Stop by the Salvador Dali museum – that is if you appreciate staring at obscure paintings until lightheaded. Those who believe they should have been born with gills, be sure to visit Wet & wild, a place where your kids can slide down a watery half pipe. ‘A world of Orchids’: this sounds like it could be interesting, as orchids strange shapes explain in a Darwinian fashion how flowers evolve to con insects into pollinating them, if you’re a Christian who doesn’t understand evolution theory, don’t bother to go. One must not ever forget the grand and wonderful Disneyland, Whom we can thank for perpetuating the exhibition of cutesy animated buffoons, who seem to be designed to annoy mankind for an unforeseen eternity.

So, is this enough to go on, enough opportunity to prove that heavily sunburned skin is ok if you could bring back photo’s to magnetize to your refrigerator and bore your family with? Ok then I can stop my groundless slander of a Perfectly Beautiful Holiday Destination.

Dylan Brent wrote this article for the online marketers at Travel Your Way (Specials).

Sun Tea Container With Spigot

Worm Compost Bin by Anthony Tripodi

One of the best ways to improve your garden is to stop throwing out your garbage. That’s right, your used coffee grinds and banana peels can help your tomato and cucumber plants grow larger and stronger. When that same garbage is eaten and digested by a worm it becomes a powerful plant supplement known as worm castings. Starting a worm compost bin is a great way to create a steady supply of worm castings for your flower and vegetable gardens.

First thing you’ll need is a bin. You can buy a commercially made worm bin but where’s the fun in that. Those plastic or rubber storage bins make great worm bins. Drill a few holes in the bin so your worms get plenty of air. Just be sure to cover those holes with small pieces of window screen or something else that will keep the fruit flies out. And if you have any plumbing experience, why not add a hose spigot near the bottom of the bin to take advantage of worm tea. Worm tea is even better than compost tea for your plants. All you have to do is add a cup or two to a large watering can and fill the rest with water. Then water as normal.

Next you’ll need some worm bedding. Most commonly used worm bedding for home bins is shredded newspapers. The bedding must stay moist but not water logged. Use a spray bottle to keep the bedding just right for your worms. When your order worms in the mail they will usually ship in a container filled with peat moss. Some people have stopped using peat moss as a political statement. You see peat is not a replenishable resource. Peat takes centuries to develop in swampy regions and it’s just being used up too quickly. Other’s argue that Peat is now created in a safe quick way and what’s all the fuss about anyway. The two sides contradict each other so it’s up to you to decide if you want to use it. Newspapers are readily available and you probably have a stack of them in your house already. So why not avoid the whole controversy and go with what’s on hand.

And don’t forget to put some dirt in the bin too. Worms don’t have teeth, so they need some grit to help grind up their food. You can also use rock dust or powdered limestone instead of dirt if you like, but regular dirt from your yard will work fine.

And of course, let’s not forget the worms. Digging up some worms from your yard will not work in a worm bin. Worms that come from the soil, like to live in the soil. For worm bins, you’ll need red wigglers. They’ll love the environment that you’ve created in your worm bin. How many should you buy, that depends on the size of your bin. Let’s assume that you’ve created your worm bin for the worm castings and not to have tons of worms for your weekends fishing. That means that you’re going to leave the worms in the bin until they’ve turned most of the bedding and food waste into vermicompost. The worm to garbage ratio is usually 2:1. That means that if you’re going to put a half pound of garbage into the bin on a daily basis, then you should start with a pound of worms.

Check your bin everyday to ensure that you get off to a good start. Keep the bedding moist and the bin should stay in a spot that’s about 60 to 70 degrees. Leaving the bin outside in the summer sun is a good way to cook all of your worms. And remember if the worm bin starts to smell, then you probably need more bedding.

Starting a worm bin is a fun project for everyone in the family. Get your kids involved, they’ll love watching those little worms wiggle around your bin. And if you’re lucky, you may see one of the kids chase your mother in law around the house with a handful of worms. Like I said, worm bins are good times for the whole family and great for your garden too.
